Authentic Self is a 3D film with the keywords of female fertility and awakening. Drawn from a traditional Chinese setting, the film tells the story of a woman’s struggle to find herself in the face of social and family pressures, the conflict between “yin” and “yang” within her. The film explores the role of women within traditional values and societal expectations and highlights the challenges of their personal growth and self-awareness. The film may provoke viewers to reflect on gender equality, self-discovery and social expectations, as well as delve into the influence of traditional culture on women’s identity. Director Biography – Yisong Huang
Yisong Huang is an interdisciplinary fashion designer, costume designer, artist and fashion film maker. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Fashion Film and Digital Production at the London College of Fashion.
My research interests are focused on exploring the future of fashion, wearable technology and digital fashion ecology. As an emerging director, Yisong Huang demonstrates his creativity and unique visual style through the narrative of CG film. My work explores the fusion of fashion and technology, presenting viewers with stunning visuals and cutting-edge fashion concepts. I am committed to promoting innovation and development in the fashion field, bringing new visual and artistic experiences to the fashion industry through work.
